Welcome to the Annual
TRIBE WODEN THOR, Medieval Feast and Tourney.
This year marks the seventh anniversary of the Tribe Woden Thor Mid Summer Feast and Tourney. The Event will be on the second Week end in August or August 13th and 14th 2011. The Feast is an exclusive to members only Event. All guests are by invitation only. If you are interested in attending the Feast this year, and are not a member, then contact us HERE
The Feast is a two day overnight event where the tribe has the opportunity to gather and build relationships with each other as well as to re-enact the people and time period that we represent. All members are expected to be in garb and be prepared to be a part of the festivities for the weekend. Any exceptions need to be brought to the attention of the tribal council before the opening day of the event. Non period style tents are acceptable. However, pop ups and other types of tents not to be used for camping are not acceptable.
This year will mark the second year of our new Arts and skills Demonstration. This part of the event is an opportunity for the various craftsmen and women of the Tribe to display there wares and skills as well as talk with the Tribe as a whole about what it is they do. This will be done in 15-20 minute time slots and is open to anyone that has taken up a trade within the Tribe. This part of the event will be judged by the Tribal members present and each will have one vote for who had the best over all presentation based upon several aspects. The winner will be announced at the Feast.
For further details click here.The Tribal council will be holding the annual meeting (All Thing) and meeting with each new member individually to go over the tribal by-laws and code of conduct as well as help them with there persona's and to give them guidance for finding there place within the tribe. The Feast will be prepared by The Lady Delenne and will be featuring some new dishes.
This year is our first year with our new Tribal first Sword "Einar The Scar" in his official position. In preparation for this event a copy of the combat manual will be provided for combatants and there will be and introduction to the Heavy fighting portion of the Tourney given by Einar The Scar before the fighting begins. The Marshal for the tourney is still to be determined. The Tourney is a for members only part of the event, non members are welcome to take part but will not be in the running for any awards or for the tourney champions prize. The Tourney Champions prize this year is to be announced.

DAY 1
10:00 am = All interested in competing in the Tourney must make their intentions known to the Tourney Marshal by this time. (Advanced notice can be given to the Tribal Council or the Tribal First Sword)
11:00 am = Introduction to the Feast and Tourney by High Chieftain, Fredrick the Just.
11:30 am = Tribal council meeting The Tribal council will be conducting there annual meeting and presenting new membership apps. During this time the Tribal council will also be conducting new members Interviews.
To Follow = General meeting The council and High Chief will be opening up the Annual meeting to the general populous of the tribe. This is an opportunity for every member to talk about any ideas or thoughts they may have about the tribe, development of the tribe or anything else tribe related they would like to be heard upon.
1:00 PM = Beginning of Arts and Trades event. (schedule is to be announced according to participation)
3:00-4:00 pm = The official opening of the Tourney games for 2011 List of events and Introduction to be given by the Tribal Herald.
6:00-7:00 pm = Feast & Honors (This time frame will be according to the cook and may start earlier depending on were we are with other events or may start a little later depending on meal preparation)
After Hours = After the conclusion of the Feast we will be having a Fire for those who wish to enjoy some music and good company as well as our new tradition of Night fighting in preparation for the next days events.
DAY 2
9:00 am = Break Fast It is asked that everyone bring something for Sunday morning Breakfast. This does not have to be a dish of any sort, it will be a simple breakfast to help us all start the day.
10:00 am = Blessing for the Tribe This year the blessing will be done the morning before the Heavy fighting begins.
11:00 am = Opening address for the Heavy Fighting part of the Tourney The first Sword of Tribe Woden Thor will go over briefly the system and rules related to tourney fighting for Tribe Woden Thor. During this time each combatant will also be assigned a hit score based upon there kit.
To Follow = Heavy Fighting This year our High Chieftain (Frederick the Just) and the lady Delenn will have the honor of drawling randomly the names of the combatants for each round of fighting. One fighter will be drawn by each for each match until the final match.
To Follow = Presentation of winners and awarding of Grand Champion for 2011. Award will be given by the High Chieftain of Tribe Woden Thor.
For first year members your first years dues will be do at this time also if they have not already been taken care of. Annual dues are the responsibility of every member and are used to make events such as this possible for the Tribe.
